i have a few bill, but i dont even use them...i offer them, but since the economy has grown so much you cant get anyone to do anything for a measely 100mil.

i think we should do what Germany did after WW1 and burn all this worthless money and start again. this is coming from someone who has 18.2b btw. it doesnt matter that much to me just i remember back in the day when having several million credits was a big deal and it made the whole thing more fun now its just so devalued :( just my opinion.

Starting over isn't fair to those who paid RL money to buy credits. I know a couple people paid like $20 for 1 billion back when that much was actually worth something.

'scuse me, let me correct myself, instead of being so negative you could just amend what I said..
take away everyones debt and take away all the monies from non paying members and leave the monies for the paying members..
those who have it, have it, those who spent it spent it. We have to figure out someway to make the dollar more valuable again, you can greatly reduce the interest for saving, and heavily increast the costs for other stuff.

Well seeing poverty is at 98% something will need to be done soon. we can't really take credits away from people who purchased them and won them fair and square in the bookie or casino.
Raising the price of things isn't fair to those just starting out.. Although the arcade really really needs a price increase.
I think the biggest thing we need to do is offer more things for credits. but make them pricey..
Like maybe:
-Premium Accounts
-Goods from the store
-colored names
And i think we need to cut wages and start adding more taxes on things. And we also need to cap how much someone can bet in vbookie.
I don't think taking credits away or restarting is the answer.. I think offering more items to spend them on is the way to go.. And then also lower the amount that can be earned from any winnings.. Right now it's way out of balance.. We just need to get it more balanced is all and we will be fine. I would hate to destroy a trillion dollar economy.. :(

there is a program that goes with this credit system that allows people to charge to read a post.. i never added it cause i thought it might get abused, but maybe it would work.

Heres a few things I've noticed for Bookie:
- The limit for betting is something like 24700000000 etc. This isn't actually a limit we impose, but the set limit for numerals (I don't know exactly how it works, I believe Svenne explained it years ago).
- Not only can people bet that much, but they can also bet a ton of times if the Bookies allow it. (so 2470000000 x how many times they want to bet).
- To counteract this, I've checked the 'bet once only' for the regular events, while leaving it open for things like the Tour de France, or I know Rass did it for Horse Racing.
Is there any way to limit the number of times you can bet a week/month? The amount people have won in the past is simply ridiculous. Not to mention Cemetary putting up basketball games which had the most obvious outcomes and telling all his friends to bet the obvious winner with all their credits, or setting it up so you could bet even after the game was over.
What we can do is make the Arcade much more expensive. Or add other features that use credits like roleplay games, or forum perks.
On a related note, any word on the Stock Market?

Well i could install a vcommerce. Members can run there own little store selling things for credits. I have thought about doing this for awhile, but i've just been so busy with game upgrades i just haven't had time..
Making the arcade more expensive it easy.. just raise the price for each game..
Sadly there is no fix to the bug in the stock market. Nobody but you discovered it, but still... if they did there would be no way to tell.. Unless i make it log every transaction which would raise db usage :(
I personally have not looked into fixing it myself yet.. I was hoping the actual creator of it would, but it seems he abandoned it..

i remember the store being mentioned ages ago. what kind of things will it sell? selling premium accounts for credits is a good idea imo :P
raising the prices of everything will not solve anything. We have to rethink everything.
We should have a badge or something, where someone completely cleans out their bank account and all cash on hand and then they get this badge.
Something that will encourage a user to get this badge..
Something similiar...come on guys, I konw we don't have a forum full of morons, lets put our heads together and think about this..
If you raise the prices of everything you will end up like America :D

I wasn't being negative, just pointing out why its not convenient to start over.
@Pres...lowering the interest rate would help tremendously. I am sitting on 4.5b credits and make like 300m every 2 weeks from interest. I'm sure your 1t credits make you 25-50b every 2 weeks.

I completely agree.
The tax goes up as you have more money. That's how they do this in RL as well.
Maybe an interest rate linked to the number of posts made in the past 14 days?
The people who contribute the most will gain the most, the biggest problem wll be Pres as he gets loads of posts from banning spam bots :p
