View Full Version : Operation Nation Wars - Prep, plan, execute!
Devils Idea: Go to other games make an account and manually PM members down the scores list to recruit them into Nation Wars.
If you are in, say so in a post.
If you ARE NOT IN, dont post and anything unrelated will be deleted.
This is SERIOUS as we can get.
This thread will be used for planning prepping, and executing. We will list the game/s, the script that you will PM, and the ranks you are to PM (IE scores 500-1000)
We are looking for at the MIN one person PMing at least 500 members of another game AT THE SAME TIME as the rest of are like a Coordinated Strike. This way if there is any banning etc...we will hit them by surprise, and at worst cause their community to discuss it and at best get a few new sign ups.
tracking will be in place and we will be able to measure traffic from that game to this one and sign ups. So this will be detailed and measurements will be able to be made.
its as easy as show up, copy, paste, send, next....
The more that show the more PMs we can send.
POST "IN" if your in, and follow the thread as it is updated...
If your not "IN" dont post at all and jump off a freaking cliff because we are freaking tired of hangers on whining all the time.

I was just wondering if you and your friends want to come play this browser based military game called Nation-Wars.com?
It really has a lot of nice features, and although the community is small right now because the game is NEW its is really a lot of fun.
I think the game will grow quite a bit, so now is the time to get in, and start building your army up.

I don't know what our Privacy rules are, but I would like a list of everyone you know who have ever played World of War and Nation Wars.
I want their MSN, email, AIM, whatever. There are hundreds of ex-players out there we can bring back.
Either send me a PM with your msn list, or I'll start a new thread to keep this one clean.

my friend who used to play this game (CorruptSoul) and Z keep messaging me to join this game. i think it probably has loads of members and might be a good pool for recruits.
We will compile a list of simular games with active members...put some on this thread and active members. Please dont post the game unless you post teh active members.

used to play torn, it doesnt have a scores list but you can either search and it will list all members by there "state" number or there is a "whos online" list which you can click onto and it will show whos been online for the last hours.

Who's online is a good one, 1170 people online right now, and then I'd recommend going though the top factions (nations) as they'll have the most active members who arelikely to have time on their hands.
http://www.travian.co.uk/ has a lot of players and a score list to make it easy to choose who to send the message to.
So when's this happening, and who's doing what?
sorry i have been sooo busy...
we just need to find a game with a few thousand people and it has to be very easy to pm them one at a time...bang bang bang.

but I know a game (http://www.hyperiums.com) that allows you to msg all players within a certain radius of your planet. One click and you send a lot of mails. You start over, and you send again.
etc.
Are we waiting til the set starts to do this? I'm pretty sure I've lost a few people cos they joined and weren't able to do anything and never came back when they could.

Just a nice polite invite. nothing aggresive, not too spammy IMO.
I probably won't be aggressive as the rest of you in sending hundreds of pms out, but I'll see what I can do with recruiting in Cyber Nations, especially with the new players.

ps maggio maybe include in the message that we have well established forums with plenty of features such as credits, casinos and arcades?
Shouldn't we describe the game itself? A text-based strategy MMO.

I didnt want then to have to read a book...just simply check us out. something lite and written as if we were playing thier game and wanted them to try ours...
I didnt want it to be too aggressive like an advertisment, but we can always change it up later...

Shouldn't we wait to do this until the new game is launched? All we will do is have new players come in and learn Resurrection and then next set they will have to learn an entirely new game.

This time we are toying around almost like practice IMO...we have a few smaller games we are messing with, I have had a really rough start and it was/is not as organized as I believe devil and I planned, but I had a terrible last coulple days RL.::pitty::

Well, as soon as someone tells me who/where to spam I'll go do it.
I still feel it is better to wait until we have the new version, but I'll gladly help out whenever I am needed.

They have some very interesting slogans plastered on their site.

You do realize that this method of recruiting players is just going to give Nation Wars a bad name. There are better ways to go about promoting and raising awareness. Maggio, in the portal it says you are Chief of Marketing, not Chief of Spamming... How about a real IMC plan?
this is not meant to be anything hostile, just looking out for the best interest of a good game
not that the game really has a budget, but lets entertain other ideas before running a spam campaign

Its a good game , tho I am still and "outsider" as is MU. But thats expected.
Close communities are tuff to get into and mesh. The only thing that can quickly change that is bringing in new people.
Most of the members we've ever had at ICN, never post here, and thats a problem for the game also. Maybe some of the cleanup and the recent Posts that are out of the game might help also. I know I don't want to just come to these forums all the time and talk about the game. There is still a world outside and I like to see he views/opinions of people that live far away from me. (cept those in Alabama..I really don't care what they think.)
