Serbian proverb I love. Which is why it is in my sig.
Cyrillic: Бог високо, a Русија далеко. - Latin: Bog visoko, a Rusija daleko.

* Translation: God is high above, and Russia is far away. (Meaning that help is far and unlikely.)

God I love those people. They're the only nation that actually doesn't hate us or just acts to like us to get our resources cheap.

Russian proverb
В России купола кроют чистым золотом, чтобы чаще Господь замечал.

* Translitteration: v rossiyi kupola kroyut chistim zolotom, chtobi chasche gospod' zamechal.
* Translation: in russia, the domes (of churches) are covered with gold so that god notices them more often.
