View Full Version : POINTS in score boards
i have allways wondered exactly how the Points are awarded in the scores...
it seems arbitrary.
perhaps it could eventually be removedÉ
or explained at leastÉ

what is it with the capital é ?
no one ever knew and we most certainly will never find out what the exact definition of the points is. I know it has something to do with winning and loosing LGs and/or attacks.
i remember we came to the conclusion of that john, the better you did at grabbing IE ( higher grabs 1000+) the more points you got, same with the more time u were victorious in defending against attacks, but if u were defeated alot, bot offensively and defensively you lost points, i dont know if anything else effects it
i wonder if they will ever be removed

Are you guys talking about the points where everyone starts off at 500? I was almost certain that was calculated by when you attacked someone with a higher NW and succeeded you gained 1 point, and when you attacked and failed or were attacked by a lower NW you'd lose 1 point...

Yeah PC you are correct...it was affected by grabs and war attacks. (similar to the Off/Def % like in NW I & II)
But I don't think it affected being able to break or defend easier.

using the points is a pretty decent way to grab, used to do it all the time. only attack the people with higher points and used to get some great grabs when it looked like i shouldnt have.

I always ended at 490 or lower :D
I'm the defensive type, almost never attack
I'm pretty sure Oogla has it right on.
States with 500+ usually are war states, or states with huge amounts of infantry. States with 500- either got owned in a war or are ship/jet heavy.
I remember states with 600-700 points were almost always war states.
