I know Mech has it and has played it.. has anyone else played it?? I played it before being the U.S. and I took over Mexico, Central America, then took over Canada while joining the Axis powers.... Fun game if you have played it.

Extremely detailed and complex game though still able to be played and have fun with out doing all the detail

Great game, the only problem is it's too easy as the Majors (especially germany) and you can't do much as a minor. The US is penalised a little too much in Tank research imo. Japan is a good country to play, as is France. the UK is crazy once the lend lease act is passed, free IC as long as you are still warring Germany.

Also check out Europa Universalis III same developer just its earlier years and yes HoI2 comes from the EU engine

The Anthology version of HOI2 is awesome, extends the "end date" to 1963 and adds a ton of new stuff.
