About The Servers

The servers are all brand new IBM eServers.

Dual Processor, Dual Core (Quad Core) AMD Opteron 280 CPU’s
4GB RAM Minimum
Dual SCSI 10K RPM Hard Drives

About the Data Center

Our servers are collocated at TelecomCenter in LA, USA.
530 West 6th Street
Los Angeles, CA 90014

Telecom Center LA is located directly adjacent to the One Wilshire Building on the corner of 6th Street and Grand Ave. in the heart of the "Telecom District," in Downtown Los Angeles.

The last info just in case you might wanna go and destroy a server after being warned.. ;)

there should be no downtime involved due to dbase replication etc etc.. but again nothing goes ever as it should be, so be patient if you encounter problems!

thanx!

well almost... lol
these servers have dual (2 of them), Dual Core (and therefore Quad Core) CPU's ;)

but I'm ok with being friends anyhow!

ya I don't know much about computers, just that mine has a dual core processor or something like that. :P

But hey it works for me!! :D And thanks for letting us know about any possible downtime, lol.

Server transfer is in progress.. Expect the forums to be slow..

thanks..

things should be back to normal by tomorrow! (at most)

transfer is done in account batches.

after each movement there is a short break, to check all accounts the the transfer continues with more accounts.
As long as this domain isn't moved yet, you might expect big latency!

as soon as this domain is moved over, the forum will be even faster as never before!

thanx for your understanding!

Server move (for this domain) has been completed :)

a couple of more domains will transfer to this server, but forum should stay fast and online!

Let me know what you think of this server!

Crimson Shadow

See Mr P, if you got rid of dial-up it wouldn't be that bad for you either lol

youngwebsolutions

well, it shouldn't be that much faster, but stability will increase a lot!

but that's for the future to tell!

We have been moving 2 times this year, this should be our home for the months to come!
Until we get 300+ active users!

Not sure if it's faster or not compared to the ol' one, but at least it's running smoothly atm, and that's what counts to me...

I'll be back the first set. :w00t:

haha, but ya I don't notice it being any faster but ya being at the university I already have one of the fastest connections so. Although I never did experience any downtime or slowness while it was in progress, so I guess I got lucky, haha
