I am totally Pro FREEDOM of INFORMATION.

if you create a product that can be copied easily, it is information, and it is everyones.

Copying something from the internet should not even be called piracy, because u are not stealing anything.

If I come and Rob you of your pet dog, or you gold necklace, then I have committed theft.

If I copy some text, sound, or photo from a screen or page, thats just me learning. no one is losing anything.

torrent sites like ISOHUNT.com or ILOVETORRENTS.com are great.

I use torrents but it is theft especially if you keep it. That's why I delete after I have read/listen/watch/etc something I have downloaded. If the product is good I'll make a mental note to buy it, eventually anyways.

I have a few terrabyte drives full of movies, games, and music all courtesy of torrents.

I use torrents to download music mostly. I find myself in no rush to watch movies and I don't waste my time on a game unless I plan on putting some effort into it on the computer (so I basically only play RTS) and to access the servers you need the code, so I just buy the games I play. Last game I bought and actually played was Age of Empires 3. Will get the upcoming Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 however.

As for the issue itself, I make no excuses. Obviously it isn't 100% legal in Canada, but its not illegal either (thank god). It just isn't practical to buy every single album you like unless you have wads of cash lying around. My money goes to paying tuition :p
