In my books peace is only attained when a nation surrenders or agreed cease fire not by the click of a button. If ROTN declared peace without consulting me I'd of declared back as soon as i saw the declaration of peace happen.

i have known totte longer than you have played this game. hell probably longer than you have had internet and i have never ever known him to outright lie.
and nation leaders being forthright? i have never heard more lies from people than i have from the people that have led Lor and wlf in the past. they are the ones that have driven out a lot of players. i don't know who currently leads them and i don't much care but i hope no one took notes from the leaders after devil left. and if they are still the leaders maybe someday they will mature up a little bit.
as for this being planned from day one i can assure you it was not. totte tried to recruit me and while they were more than likely going to war totte does not go into a set with a target planned. he wars for a reason and doesn't just ruin people's set for fun. maybe you could take a lesson from him Z

gangbang there is no gangbang happening atm you declared war on horde for whatever reason you had for it rotn had a Dp with horde thus by honoring that pact we had to step in of course especially seeing the numbers being more or less 2:1 on a nation that had at that point just recently been crippled abit by suicideing and yes i can say that since that state was actullay killed :)
anywho as for lieing not sure what you mean by that you asked if we could stay friendly after you declared on horde and well we dont keep grudges on our part so no problem for comeing set imo that i didnt inform you that we were steping in well thats just plain simple to explain :P
now of course the peace dec was done for tactical reasons you dont need to be einstien to figure that one out...
now as far as i know wlf (correct me if i´m wrong) has in the past had a habbit of jumping weaker nations and saying not our fault you werent prepared well the simple facts here is you jumped on a weaker netting nation for no real reason that you even outnumbered.
But )here is the twist you missed something called nations can have friends and be pacted for defense. Now wlf being a war nation (mainly should have known that this could be the case.... the numbers if you look at them are rather even thus you should be able to hold your own being a war nation....
as for why sky joined in i have no idea ask them.

What nation was stronger than Horde?
I would have perhaps chosen ROTN if not for Totte telling me that they were not warring, and wanted to train new members, and that they were not signing any pacts with anyone.

I agree with alot of what you are saying,
however:
As leader of WLF, I have made efforts to be respectful to my enemies. The constant insults and flaming on this thread towards WLF makes a mockery of this situation.
why not try to at least be civilized and adult and stop with all the swearing.
I make a point to give credit where it is due, and anytime an opponent does well in war, I generally congratulate them for it.
Everyone keeps saying that WLF picked a weak opponent... I'm trying to figure out what a better opponent would have been this set...

I'm not trying to come up with any excuses here, I will just list my response to some things u asked about or mentioned.
Horde was aprox 2x the NW of WLF when we hit.
I never secured an official pact of any sort with Totte, so its not like he broke anything official, it was talks from 1 leader to another over MSN.
we had the 1st talk at the very begining of the set (before the set started i think) and I asked him for a pact, he said no, he was not making any pacts with any nations this set, he just wanted to stay peaceful and train some noobs.
then I spoke to him 1 day before ROTN hit WLF (after our initial strike on horde) I simply conveyed my wish to maintain peace, as a type of non-official affirmation of our prior talks at the begining of the set. He said somthing along the lines of "yes why would u think otherwise" I cant blame him for lieing at this time, as U are not going to tell your opponent the night b4 a strike.
before ROTN declared peace, I spoke to Totte on msn and asked for a peace. He said he would talk to Achillies of somthing like that, then an hour or 2 later they declared peace.
We then declared peace on horde.
none of this really matters, Im just stating it for clarity.
please excuse my spelling, Im too tired tonight to fix it lol.
anyway,
If you dont like what I have to say in General discussion thats fine, I do post some fairly inflamatory things.
But that is no reason to disrespect the nation I am in.

I'm a WLF member this set, nice kill on me, I was nearly on to save myself.
But I do think Z is whining slightly, and I can understand why, it is very frustrating to be in a winning position and have it turn around (not irreversibly so). But other people are right about playing the numbers game, WLF always enjoyed superior numbers, now the shoe is on the other foot, remember how much you hated other people hating on you for it.
But actually it is fun to watch the tension, so screw you all!

i really don't think the numbers at the start made this a huge difference either way and i don't think it can be considered a GB by anyone being logical.

we had abit of a bet inbetween some of the rotn players and i beted that i would survive max 6 hours and mr p was wrong to he wasnt the first to die maggio that hadnt been online for 3-4 days died first ;)

**Hours later , order were given by the Leader of WLF Nations to destroy Mr President lands and there was nothing she could do if it is to pray that Mr President survived the assault .... **
As Mr President awaits the return message from Lady Mags he paces back and forth with great concern for her safety. He knows that he is out of his command post and just a simple soldier following orders, and he knows that it would be a matter of time before the order to have Lady Mags state..........destroyed. As he stands at the door watching the sun go down and putting another day to rest he hears a great rumble in the distance.... His heart pounds as he has heard this rumble too many times. As he quickly turns to gather his important items a great explosion happens right in front of him. It was a missile from one of the WLF jets and as he falls to the ground his only thought was how he hopes Lady Mags will survive without him being around........
Hours after the massive attacks against his lands takes place, he can hear faint calls... Mr President........ Mr President....... Are you alive..... Mr President....... It is his fellow soldiers, they have come for him. As they glance west in the faint light of the setting sun they can see something moving in a pile of rubble that once was this great mans castle, and behold a man rises from the rubble and they can see his silhouette as he begins to stagger towards them.....
His fellow soldiers ask immediately, "Mr President are you ok?" yes he replies I am fine and then as his heart pounds and his hands shake in fear cause he knows that the leaders of his nation would avenge this attack on him, he asks "Have you heard from Lady Mags"?????????????
It seemed like eternity when one of his fellow nation mates replied " her state has been destroyed sir and we do not know if she survived the destruction"... His biggest fear has unfolded right before his eyes and there was nothing he could do. As he falls into great despair and sadness another soldier speaks up and says " Mr President, as I was under cover working special spy ops missions I came across some documents that read -
you were the one that death sentenced Mr pres, only the kill was stolen !"
How could this be? How could the Lady that Mr President spent so much time with and trusting her to one day possibly take over the leadership role of his people be so deceitful? Why? How? Why? Why? Why? He does not know what to say or how to feel at this moment.... It is then when his eyes turn to blood red and as he clinches his fist only one name can be heard as he exhales his breathe.......... Lady Mags :vangry:

Well... this war might be real fun and last for several sets but unfortunately we don't have enough members in this game :( So except for the Estonians even the future of the warring states is doubtful :(

Well since this was not a 1v1, plus ROTN did the FS, its normal for WLF to be defeated.
However, it seems you forgot that those statistics about are not ROTN vs WLF but ROTN&exHorde vs WLF

i just made a state to see whats happening and noticed WLF have RAF in their ranks. surely that cancels out any previous/supposed numerical advantage that they might have possessed?

I actually started watching this war, tho I came in late on it and didn't catch the start. Had we been able to get our little group together, we would have hopped in, But thats the trouble with new tags I think.
I was especially intersted in the tag changes by members and then the declare peace, then declare war move. Not that it fooled everyone, but it was an interesting move and a good regroup time.
One thing that I don't agree with is the time frame on war declarations. It seems to me that for the more members the longer time should be needed.
And if you could declare war without advertising who its on, that would be a good thing. Its not like we need to go and send a invite to a war.

if wlf has irresistible urge to war, then here is a solution:
1. Divide WLF to two different nations
2. Those 2 wlf nations can war each other as much as they want
3. Rest of the ppl can enjoy the game, without being afraid that wlf can war them without any reason ( reason which cannot be determined by common sense, by normal ppl)
Everyone else besides the nation that was being warred could have netted in peace, however, that nation couldn't take a loss this set so they dragged 2 other nations into their conflict.
If I remember correctly, in the intro to the game, it says you can war for any reason including if you feel threatened that your nation will not achieve top standings.
For some reason however, when ever a nation wars for this type or reason they are frowned up.
To be more specific actually, only when WLF and LoR war these these types of reasons are they frowned upon.
Why is this? Does all of Netting-wars.com have a grudge against these two nations?
Why is it that when any other nation other than wlf and lor war they are cheered and applauded.
It makes no sense.
Why dont we just take out all war attacks from the game, including SA's and make it so that people can only expand to get land.
I am sick and tired of everyones constant *****ing every ****ing time these two nations war someone.

but it really looks bad when the largest nation in the game is going to war and they get pissed because other nations know that if they get warred by them they have little chance of a CS without help. so they plan for it and make defensive alliances, but you get pissed off because they didn't fight you 1on1 when you outnumber them and get the FS? of course most nations have more networth than you before your strike because all your players are at 300+ turns! i mean come on mhaphew you gotta see that side of the story too.

WLF's whinning was about ROTN's declaring peace-war strategy.. I think the first WLF vs ROTN+Horde was a fair war. We should have seen Sky as well, strategic mistake >_>
