comes and goes for me. I have done some serious gym time for periods in the past, and tried to be a bit aware of diet, but until recently my activity level had really slacked off.

I now am working on getting back into reasonable shape though, and will probably return to the gym, but probably only for "light-duty".

u noe anything bout creatine???

Creatine is naturally found in your body and your body uses it to provide energy. Its only used in quick bursts, like sprinting or lifting, throwing etc, as stores in your body only last about 10 seconds.
As a supplement it is said that creatine marginally increases these anaerobic movements as it increases the creatine in the muscles. This is why they are good for bodybuilders.
They also help to build body mass as it increases muscle growth and helps repair broken muscle fibre.

quick suggestion to lose weight not saying it will work for everyone but lemon juice in water, orange juice from squeezing oranges, pickles without all the **** they put in them and onions... oh and keep caloric intake below 1500 which is not hard to do if you put your mind to it...

I dropped 60 pounds in about 2 months you notice that immediately

which is extremely insane!!! you will gain a lot of the weight you lost back when you're off the 1500 caloric intake, i mean you set your body into "survival mode" and you start gluconeogenesis that will convert your aminoacids into glucose and then use them as fuel, I'd recomend more like a well balanced diet. 2200-2600 kcals depending on user activity and some cardio workout, works hell good and you dont gaing your weight back. and you look hard, healthy and sharp

Love Creatine.

a supplement even the weekend athlete should contemplate. Requires quite a bit of water intake, to make sure that you don't dehydrate yourself, but It's really a great addition. Interesting by product of creatine suplimentation is a higher resistance to concussions.

I find that most creatine users realize a gain of 5-10lbs of "lean mass" while using it. Most of this is due to increased stores in muscles, but that's a good thing, because you'll find you have more power and endurance. Most find a jump in lift weights of 10-20lbs as soon as they are finished "loading".

Purchase quality Creatine, if it's cheap crap, that's what you'll be putting into your body. Also load creatine with juice or other quick glucose agent, and best results are after a work-out with your carb meal. Hungry muscles with an extra hand at storing energy in them? oh yeah.

would u say celltech is a good brand to get or should i look at sumthing else??? also how much should i take...ive been reading for the loading phase do like 20g a day so like 10g when i wake up and 10g after my workout then after the 5 days of lifting drop it to 10g a day???

Grendel Khan

I don't know the brand namer Celltech, but I'd have to say any brand name that isn't a "generic" should be decent.

I'd suggest 20-30g a day during "loading" breaking it into 5-10g doses. if you can only take it twice a day then yes, during breakfast meal and then after your work-out. Couple of push-ups before your breakfast or any meal you are taking in creatine can't hurt...

10-20 should be fine for at least getting the blood pumping in your muscles and getting them to send messages to your body saying - "refill my energy stores".

As long as you have the money, I wouldn't ever drop your creatine intake. I know they say to go to half the loading, but my physical trainer told me he really didn't see the need, unless you are hard strapped for cash. you're looking at stretching the same amount about twice the days if you drop your carrying amount. I often took it form about 25g to 15g a day after the start.

Big thing to remember is get your water.

A rule of thumb that I was told and makes sense, especially if you are taking supplements, is by the end of the day you want your urine to be close to clear. a little yellow in it is fine, but you don't want to be going to sleep with near florescent yellow urine. That's a sign of either your body being dehydrated, or you needing to cleanse substances form your kidneys
once supliments have reached your kidney's they aren't doing a **** thing anyways. Might as well flush them and try to avoid taxing your kidneys.

probably dropping creatine for a week or two after every two to three months is a good idea. For two reasons. One it allows you to know how much gained weight is just from cretaine load and stores in your muscles, and how much is gained lean mass. it also helps break-up your routine. if you don't change your weights you are working with while you drop the creatine, it should make you work harder at the same weights. hopefully inducing more strength, and then allowing you to surpass where you were by another jump when you start using the creatine again.

L-tyrosine.

Pre-cursor for many useful enzymes and processes in the body, including L-dopamine. Not supposed to have much affect on mood for "normal people", but significant affects in those under stress or duress... ie weight-lifting, or stress, sleep deprivation, ravin...

helps fight burn-out and over-all body fatigue, especially mental fatigue for longterm wear and tear.

Always seemed to help me focus too. And generally put me in a better mood. ie due to less burn-out and fatigue.

I recently saw a new ad for a product that is supposed to help with increasing the speed of muscle knitting, that has recently been used by lifters. but I can't remember the name of it off the bat. If I get back to doing any real lifting in the gym I'll track it down. It was being used to help treat MS.

alright sounds good...im either hearing that its good to take or i shouldnt take it cuz all it does is put water between ure bones and muscles or w.e

Grendel Khan
07-28-2008, 14:20
It'll cause differences. an increase of 5-10lbs of lean mass.

an increase in energy and strength. Just increasing the stores in your muscle is a bonus off the bat, and anything dealing with strength/power is going to appreciate adding weight that is lean mass vs fat.

It's NOT 'roids. You won't add 20-40lbs of lean mass in two months. It won't shrink your nuts and give you cancer...

If you're staying at 1500 calories a day, you're not only losing fat, but muscles as well.

I've lost 30 pounds from a simple diet. Build up your muscles, so you're burning more energy, and use your bicycle to work instead of your car. I still eat and drink the same crap as before.

i have been watching you on facebook. You are getting huge! 12wks? That does sound a bit short for that type of results.

Well not huge, i'm a experienced bodybuilder, the before pic i was 93kgs 23%Bodyfat off season, thats 204Lb for u Americans, and the after pic i mean yesterday :P i'm 70kgs and 6.6% bodyfat dried to my bones, thats about 154Lb and i'm 1.70meters tall so it was more likely a fat shedding strategy :) anyone wanting tips, or help can msg me freely and i can give you some kind of advice.

The true secret is in the diet.

Calories in vs Calories out.

Was that the "Muscle Fitness" Extreme Body Challenge?

I need to dig up some old pics from my run in it.

-- !2 weeks is a lot of time for a fairly experienced lifter.

Not a lot, just enough...

Its what a cutting plan should last at least.
