I hope that Germany will get more medals than AUstralia and Japan again. Its kinda annoying to be the masters of silver and bronze medals but failing the gold.

China will definately have an advantage, seeing they're strong in many sports such as table tennis, diving (both barely a sport imo) or gymnastics, where you can get lots of medals.

even the japanese were a bit boring

and so is the music.. athens was much better in that sense.
i'm still trying to find out what that bagpipe song was when the irish marched in

but it is very funny to watch these countries march in, whose entire population wouldn't fill the stadion

lol.. as Guam marched in.. "Why doesn'T the President of Guam stand up?" camera zooms in on Bush slightiny banging his head... "Does he even know he is?"

Putin still does pull the strings. ;) He was the one responding to it, rather than Medvedev

If it was broadcasted live in the US, then there wouldn't be many viewers, since it would have been friday morning and most people would have been at work.

that never stoped illions watching TV here

the main reason you'Re getting it broadcasted prime time is because of advertising revenue.
peopel pay more for commercials during prime time

I was going through my channels and was quite confused when only CBC was broadcasting live. I thought NBC had pulled out for some boycott or whatnot :P
