The Snake Head has an accessory breathing apparatus that enables them to be out of water for some time.

fish can't live outside of water.

The Dipnoi are a group of sarcopterygiian fish, are are commonly known as the lungfish. Their "lung" is a modified swim bladder, which in most fish is used for buoyancy in swimming, but in the lungfish also absorbs oxygen and removes wastes. Modern lungfish in Africa and South America are able to survive when their pools dry up by burrowing into the mud and sealing themselves within a mucous-lined burrow. During this time, they breathe air through their swim bladder instead of through their gills, and reduce their metabolic rate dramatically. These fish will even drown if they are kept underwater and not allowed to breathe air!

Ha - I watched him break the world record on the 500 Im. He's crazy fast.

there is a guy like that every couple of years. not impressed. and last season like over 50 records were broken in total.. so breakig na record is standard at pretty much each event :P
heck, theres even 14 or 16 year olds breaking world records

oh, and as for proof... fish can'T talk
and only humans can qualify as an competitor to an olympic event nor can fish have american citizenship.
and fish have scales
finish don'T have opposable thumbs.
fish areen'T warm blooded

Also fish do not have any bones except a back bone - Phelps has arms and legs

Fish DNA and blood types are not compatible with humans - Phelps has to take a blood test and drug tests (and he has passed)

Fish do not have a butt crack - Phelps does (my wife wanted me to add this one)

P.S. also he won gold in the 400 IM not 500 IM.

and now he has gold in relay

Raul could say Phelps swim as fast as one of his ****ing TURTLES...

Mahdi
08-18-2008, 16:18
nah i think Phelps would swim much faster than a turtle... and i have an idea lets get a fish and phelps in the same tank and see who can swim faster... bet you phelps wins on the straightaways

KLL

Phelps shouldn't have been awarded his 7th medal..

But it doesn't matter as he'll lose em all in a couple of years anyway after they found out he was doping

Shabaz K
08-18-2008, 19:32

he only get a million bonus from his sponsor. thats pretty pathetic

Shabaz K
08-18-2008, 20:12
you think his only gonna get one sponsor, he is the most winning swimmer, i tihnk he will cash more in then just 1 mill

Shabaz K
08-18-2008, 20:13
still even if 1 mill, if he does get cought cheating, the money should also get taken away:D

KLL
08-18-2008, 20:16
the most winnigns swimmers and other record olympic athletes are not rich either.

and if i was a sponsor i'd have something in the contract about doping allegations.

The million dollar bonus you all are talking about is just a sponsor throwing money at him, now think about that, if they just give him a million dollars, imagine how much they are actually paying him.. Oh and BTW the 1 million is the one you hear about because it is the only one that is public, he has a few other that i've heard about, totalling about 7 million. And yes most contracts state that if for anyreason you are caught cheating/wrongdoing/ or anything bad, you will have to pay back a portion if not all of the money

i'm used t obonuses beeign alrger than base salaries. a bonus smaller than the base salary is no rea lincentive.

it doesn't amtter as technicaly his 7th medals is not his, he most likely is doping and the swimming suits technicaly is also not legal accordign to olympic rules.

Crimson Shadow

the swimming suits technicaly is also not legal accordign to olympic rules.

If the olympic committee knew him, and all American swimmers, were using "illegal" swimsuits then they wouldn't have let them wear them beforehand. It's not like they brought new hi-tech swimsuits and were trying to hide them from everyone.

the new high tech suits helps the sweimemrs float better in the water and stay closer to the surface. devices doing exactly what the swimmsuit does are not allowed. it is pretty clear in my book.

the olympic comitte isn'T all knowing. nor are the refrees, i have seen plenty of inconsitency in ruling and obviuos error. like jsut now in high jumping a brit unsucessfull atempt but it was counted as sucessfull.
