So today is gonna be the first real day we feel effects from the hurricane. Winds are about 20 mph right now and they're getting strong. We're gonna get hit by the eyewall and we are staying. Please keep praying for us, everyone around here is getting real tense.

at first i had no idea where Morgan City is at... and i just checked it out. AND ARE YOU SANE!?!?! that's in like the middle of the middle!

Good news is the storm seems to be weaking. The bad news is that it is still a Category 3. :(

MAybe not a super typhoon, but still a very dangerous storm. I am expecting just below hurricane force winds here. But the potential is there. Not to mention it will take many hours for it to pass, and the soil here is saturated.

morgan city is the headine of Fox 5 NY news right now theres a news caster and fcrew staying with one of the families that havnt left.... chris try to make it on tv :p sent u my number in ur PM keep me updated brother

110 mph... kinda stormy here where i am at. Not too bad though, if the ****ed wife would stop watching the weather and listening to her friends panic, we'll be fine here.... .

i said it in kph :), but still it is a pretty strong wind.

so far, so good here in Lafayette. a little wind and some rain. if all goes well it will be a weak cat one when it gets here

I know, but we in the US use MPH as a standard measurement of speed.. :P

Ohhh, and im only in the far eastern part of the storm.

I'm in the eye right now guys. Power is out but my laptop is picking up someones WIFI. Who leaves wifi on during a storm. 3 trees down in the yard so but other then that we are all ok. Guess ill talk to you guys later.

whats wrong with wifi during a hurricane?
we never shut it down in taiwan during a typhoon. the thypoon would do that for us :sleep:
