Joke of the week.

Palin said. the diff between a hockey mom and a pitbull?....Lipstick

Obama said. you can put lipstick on a big, but its still a pig!....

They claim it is unrelated because he was talking about McCain not Palin, but I think we can read between the lines.

yea i have lost a little respect for Obama with that comment. He is having a hard time getting the woman voters, and comments like that do not help.

Not likely.

Look who last won 2x, GWB.

this is amerika, the land of the free.

And Obama clearly did not refer to Palin at all in that statement, he was talking about the economy and GWB, in comparison to McSame.

Just because Palin is a woman, does that mean any referance to anything feminine is about her?

I think its sexist of the republicans to assume that.

I wish Ron Paul was elected Republican nominee instead of McSame.

aren't there any independent candidates?
If I had to choose between Obama and McCain, I wouldn't vote, that's for sure... (good thing you don't have to vote, like in Belgium, but whatever, this is about the USofA)

@piraco: lmao, I think it was on redtube.com

just to be sure: I don't use that site... it just shows up in my history b/c I'm not the only one using my pc. NAH !

@Z: a country capable of choosing GWB twice is capable of doing anything.
Therefore: Schwarzenegger for president 2012-2016

Oh my goodness he most certainly was too referring to her when he said that. He is just trying to backtrack and cover it up.

But here is our wonderful democrats:

yesterday, Biden tells a group of people, that Hillary would be a much better VP then him. And on and on about being a great president bla bla bla
If you go back to one of my post right after Palin was announced, you will see where i said i bet you see the Biden drop out of this, so hillary would be called up. hmmmm so biden makes that comment, and yesterday Bill Clinton meets with Obama... hmmmmm

So here we go with the flip flopping as democrats always do. And i bet 1 million credits that Biden drops out (cause there will be some family reason he can't fulfill his duties) and Hillary will be asked. It's a classic democrat style. But i think it will hurt Obama even more.. And i hope the People will see that he can't even chose a VP so how will he ever negotiate deals with other countries. Hell he will prolly sell off all our Nukes and not even know it.

Also, i'm pretty sure the current democrats in the house have set a new record of how many vacations days they take.. When crucial oil issue are happening, they take off for a few weeks.. how nice.

i just think Mcsane, McLame, whatever, chose the cheerleer, just becouse she look good.

You may thing this is foolish, but she has a prety face (porno star) face that look good on any tv. Mcwhatever, is just trying with Palin to give a younger look to is campain.

the best thing for obama to do, is to make it not such a big deal, and make is vice even more important and noticeble. It's won't be clinton nÂș2, becouse he has no reason to trust her.

I hope i've made my point. I just love politics.

Mwahahahaha

The vote is between Obama and Palin. McCain is dead soon. We all know it.

Choosing Palin as VP is poor joke anyway, trying to grab the Hillary votes.

But at least she has good experience with foreign policy from the russians with her time in Alaska?!?!?!?

You haters will sit there and make anything up..

you work so hard to avoid the fact that Obama is a spineless one show pony that only reads from scrips.. Deny that.. any of you.. because everytime Obama opens his mouth without reading from a script written by his 128 advisors, he f u cs something up.. every time... every time.. EVERY TIME.

As a moderate with Extreme ideas and ideals (that I do not believe should or can be forced upon others...), I get the biggest kick out of the finger pointing from both camps of extremists.

Reps: All dems are libs (great new slur of the last decade, able to be pointed at any "anti-American, anti-business personality")

Dems: want to be Reps, but have a "conscious"

Both use extreme examples, and don't care what damage they do to the American Social Psyche, as they trample towards their goal - Their figure head in office, to push forth their agendas.

We need to start hanging Politicians that fail, or are caught lying, cheating or stealing from the "public". But then again, that's an extreme Idea.

to me palin was at whole a wrong candiidate, esp. if you want her to go up against Obama. i've heard she is a big power abuser.

what america needs is a new direction and tbh maccain is not the person, so all you have left is Obama, luve it or hate America needs to revamp its image, so something dramatic needs to happen and Obama in my view would fit that, its not that if he is gonna be a good leader or anytihng but to show the world they are changing

i alos ibeleive Obama;s running mate makes up where Obama lacks palin does not.

Palin did give the Republicans a big boost at the convention. and in the 1-2 weeks after.

If she was announced as running mate just 2 weeks prior to the election, the Reps might have a chance do to the shock...

but as I see it we are running @ 60% Dem 40%Rep (excluding the undecideds, and IND)

So really the race is over.

But I will be interested in watching :-)

You realize that Obama could get 100% of the popular vote and not be elected president right? ;)

...

no. explain to me how this is possible...

I have a full understanding of the difference between popular vote, and the electoral vote.

now please explain how Obama can get 100% (or anything over 80%) and not be Elected.

Because electoral votes are not based on the popular vote.

Quite simple.

Electoral votes are the same votes as popular votes bud.

its a matter of how they are counted.

Any President would need at least 30-40% of the popular vote (if not more, i'm not exactly sure on the #'s)

No one can get 10% of the popular vote and be prez.

thats the most ridiculas thing I have every heard.

Do some research. Electors do not have to vote for whoever wins the popular vote in a state. Ther are laws in only like have the states where a faithless elector is punished and there are only a handful of states that have laws that can change the vote of a faithless elector.

Just because it has never happened does not mean it is ridiculous.

Btw, the electors votes are counted by however many electors vote for which candidate . :P
