Forget all your facts, save one:

Obama has NO experience. (little I should say)

Obamas inexperience will win it for him.

If you need to ask why this is so, then just go take a class of sociology, politics or every just popular culture.

Change, meet bueracracy.

Nothing is gonna happen for a long while, and it'll be a grind if its something too radical.

I honestly feel that peeps should be keeping an eye on the Congressional races too, they're the ones who we should be breathing fire at whenever some bullfluff (the bailout for example) passes.

but with the same party in all three, could spell trouble especially if the congress pushes to far left

Obama's half white, half black and raised by a white mother and white grandparents...

Lincoln had little experience
Reagen had little experience
Kennedy had little experience

Yep, which is why people need to keep an eye on those races. The Executive branch alone wouldn't be able to float radical laws, Legislative on the other hand, could really make a case to override vetoes or block any laws contradictory to the ruling party majority. If it came to that, I would hope the Judicial branch does its job, lately they've been asleep with a lot of white collar crime and other questionable happenings on Capitol Hill.

And to Esco's post, is he half white, or half black? I think it depends on what side of the fence you're on. Do you vote on him because of his 'white' half and associated appeal, or to the 'black' half?

It's not going to happen don't worry.

Why?
1. the blue dog democrats who are conservative are now a large faction in the democratic party

2. Democrats who have won close elections won't risk losing their seats

3. The democratic party (if their smart) won't push to hard and risk their dominance

4. Obama is going to be more moderate than what most think.

Z only becuase a black man has been elected doesn not mean people change. i thin it will take some more years and more then njs one black president. Obama has to set the foot steps for the next stage for teh black epople in the US.
