No, they went too far from the original story just like Transformers. Doesn't any one in Hollywood read Comics and watch cartoons?

I'm already pissed and I haven't seen the trailers.

I've heard they went away from the Real American Hero concept for one. G.I. Joe now has to do with a Global Task Force.

The original story line has to do with Kennedy forming G.I. Joe just before he is assassinated. Most of the original Joe's came from a unit in Vietnam. The story line was very well developed and it appears the writers totally ignored it.

Your referring to the original G.I. Joe with life like hair. I'm talking about the G.I. Joe with Kung Fu grip. The movie is based on the latter.

Besides would we really wanna see a GI Joe movie with technology from the Vietnam era or 25 years from our present future?.... as i recall in the cartoon they shot lasers not bullets lol.....

It wasn't really lasers. Its just hard to draw bullets and make them look cool.

acctually they put lasers in to mk it less Violent... also did u ever notice when a plane was shot down they always manged to eject and parachute to safety
