View Full Version : indy salesmen are dumb
someone posts this almost every set, but i'm going to bring it up again.
i don't remember the old days it being this bad, but its been like this for the last year. most indy's are content to selling their product at min prices. look at the global overview. 48% industrial strategy. between what nations buy and the rest of the states in the game this is a lack of industrial states, and yet people keep flooding the market at min prices.
here's quick tip because my infantry have been selling at over 250 prices. if you want to improve your finishes. sell higher. hmm that seems strange doesn't it.
how much goods do you sell in a month? simple math. lets say you sell 100mil infantry in a month(number is actually much higher than this if your an average player) x that by 15 thats $1.5 bil in cash. 100,000,000 x 15 = $1,500,000,000.
what if you averaged 25 higher? you do the math. i can see maybe if your in a race for 1st place needed a quick sale now and again. but if your stocking their is absolutely no need to sell at min prices when the speed of your sale isn't important.

this is like this due to indies being the dominate strat. indy is by far the most powerful and the easiest to get a decently high nw with. so there are more indies
when there are more players it evens out some
also if you are an indy stocker you need to be pretty good at the game and you also need your stuff to sell pretty fast. an indy stocker that leaves their stuff on the market isn't that good of an indy stocker. market goods still count against your expenses so the longer your goods are on the market the more you are paying per turn for cash and food upkeep.

well no need to be rude about it....
Plus Xavy, most of the low price infantry is Sky/CR states selling and reselling their infantry to boost their nation mates. When you sacrifice your networth for your friends, who cares whether you get max price on your goods.
Actually, I just came out of protection today. But thanks for the tips :)

I'll keep flooding.
i guess my indy stocker does both, sell higher than min and waits for sales.
300(100) turns is actually 64 hours of time, and thats including bonus turns for 2 days. nearly 3 days you can go without using a turn.
the point i'm trying to make is! my goods have been selling higher than 250 in reasonable amounts of time so their is no need to flood at min. if you want to finish better sell higher and wait for it to sell.

this isn't true for CR at least. we are not reselling any infantry on a nation scale. if there is any of that going on than i don't know about it and i know pretty much everything going on in CR being the leader and all:P
please don't insinuate that CR is doing anything without facts to back it up. if you have facts then go ahead and post them:)
