whats the maximun amount of land permited?

There is no limit on the amount of land you can have.. Land is the key to this game. The more you have, the more population or industrial buildings or science or farms you can have.. Which means more profit=higher networth :-)

As much as you can get legally. There is no limit to the amount you can have but the more land you have the better your state will be.

P S, Glance over the manual and do the missions, it will give you a good leg up on understanding the different facets of the game.
