Mr. P asked me to do some banner, I'd like to show this to you guys..

Its my first time to create a banner. So im still experimenting..

Its not finished yet (Im still finding some inspiration )

Think the helicopter could do with a redoing, seems like it's just been plonked there, rather than worked into it.

But it's nice overall.

Not bad, but indeed, it would be a good idea to blur the edges of helicopter and soldier(s) a little bit, so that they would blend in perfectly.
And maybe placing the nuclear blast into middle would be logical move and replace the current tank with smt similar what you have on you sig, so that it would point into middle.
Anyway, I myself am more of a fan of "Civilization 4" (Civ4 Beyond the Sword) and "Lord of the Rings the Battle for Middle-Earth" (and LOTR Conquest) or even "C&C Generals" covers.

Specifically I would like to see it 890px wide. One copy with writing and one with out. This would be helpful if we needed to chance the image in the header of the game. Thank you.

Also if you can get us one version that is 468 x 60

I'm going to improve that. Im still looking for good images. It takes time but it sure is fun to do something like this.
