Proposition 3-17, a petition run by Guinness to make St. Patrick's Day an official holiday.

Why an official holiday, you ask? Why did I personally sign the petition? I mean, why not? St. Patrick's Day is all about going out and grabbing a pint with your fellow man (or woman). You get to know your neighbor. Could it cause world peace? Maybe. We'll never know until it's made an official holiday.

So the site says that if Guinness gets 1 million signatures by St. Patrick's Day Eve (the night of March 16th), they'll present the petition to Congress.

We've got enought stupid holidays which no one gives a crap about. A public holiday where the point is to get drunk on Guiness is very welcome.
