Well the thing is, most of those people are in fact Russian. When Georgia was part of the Soviet Union people from Russia migrated there. Now you have a large population in a region of your country that is more nationalistic towards Russia then their own nation. Problems bound to happen.
I hope the UN condemns Russia as much as they did Israel during the Israel-Lebanon War. I mean they already killed as many people as Israel did in one day and they're targeting economic structures not just military ones in Georgia. Thousands will die by the time this ends

The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature, and has no chance of being free unless made or kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.
