if you make good posts why would ppl not give you rep unless you gave them on the past?! don't you think that goes a bit against what reputation means? since when giving out rep makes you a more reputable person...

only give out rep if you think the post deserves it. wether it:

makes you laugh
is extremely sensible
says wht everyone else is thinking but not saying
is hugely clever or imaginative

those are pretty much what i look for. although if there are alot of them coming from 1 member i wont go and randomly give rep so i can give the original guy some. guess it mosre down to "posting in the write place at the write time" in my case
