True. Night Stalkers shouldn't offend anyone so we can keep the name and just change the tag. I like 160th. Andy, Crimson and I will talk it over and have it changed for next set most likely. I never thought twice about it, because I didn't think it was offensive to anyone. Sorry Ace if we offended you, was not our intention.

I think NS is an acceptable tag, not trying to be ignorant, just am uninformed I guess?
Yeah, Nightstalkers itself sounds pretty good, it's just this tag. NS stands for "National Socialists" or for a short form of "NSDAP" which had been the party that was led by Adolf Hitler. I think you see the point...

Ok, thank you clarifying that. Even thinking about WW2 and Nazi's I couldn't get how NS was offensive, . The three of us leaders will talk it over and it will be changed for next set. Thanks for letting us know.

    Applause for you guys then

I remember in WoW, sometimes there would be names such as KKK, or Al Qaeda, or whatever, and Svenne would either delete their nation or make them change their name.

I am pretty sure you can't say "war" in Germany among other hilarious stuff. Therefore the name of the game should be renamed because it is offensive and stuff.

Just because I am American doesn't mean I supported the slaughter of Native Americans. Just because I am American doesn't mean I supported slavery.

What I am trying to say is...

    GET OVER IT.

Anything any one says from here on out in this thread I will find offensive and will ask you to rename your nation because of it.

((I hope people see where I am trying to go with this post. If not, I can try to explain better ;D))

Intent matters. In this case, it is just two words they stuck together that they thought was cool. In no way do i think they should change a tag because the letters NS together are offensive to someone. You can't live life walking on egg shells worrying that you are going to offend someone. There are billions of people in this world, not to mention some thin skinned people at that, and someone is always going to be offended at something.

Now if the nation theme had a bunch of German names, I'd understand complaint. But come on!!NS? That just seems like a stretch to me.

Of course, I've been known to be clueless before. If someone wants to explain what I'm missing I'm all ears.

@Green: You'd wonder what a big trouble is made about the new german right-wing. After all, they're not half as big and dangerous as the media want to make ppl believe. You're right, when you say that in Germany ppl are hypersensitive about the Third Reich and all things connected to it in any way.

@Tnova: More then 40 million dead ppl is in my opinion no small thing. So this thing offends some more ppl, not only a few. And again, I don't want to change them their name, I just wanted to show up the "bad connection" and let the leaders decide.

It makes me a bit sad, that in other countries the sensitivity for the things happened during the 2nd WW isn't as high as it maybe could be...

My whole point was that why should you be offended when what you are referencing is nothing like their intent. If they had a nation description that was inline with it, or a bunch of simular state names, then i'd totally understand how it was offensive to you.

Those two words shouldn't be off limits for the rest of time because of something that happened in the past. How they use the words is what matters in my book.

It just seemed hypersensitive to me. Not trying to minimize the event that happened in the past.
