Default Ok, Gurus, a little help here.

Somehow the old guy "picked up something" on my computer. Ok, before we get started, lets get hthe "where it came from" comments out of it, I only do monkey porn, and I KNOW that site is clean.

Now that we have that out of the way, have any of youguys seem: My AV software shows a blocked url, then firefox proceeds to open a new tab and load the index of my firefox file. Baffling the **** out of me. It only popd the tab when I click thru a link and it is especially bad on Google search links and links within Nation-wars. Doesn't connect to anywhere just shows my firefox file.

I have gone to majorgeeks and tried their procedures, but cannot seem to take care of this one. Anybody got a suggestion?

There is lots of free stuff on download.com

I usually just try all the top rated spyware, registry and maintenance programs until one of them works. (Just don't run scans from more than one at the same time.)

Avast, and run a boot time scan, but run ccleaner first or the scan will take days scanning all those temp files. Avast isn't perfect, but gets rid of a lot of ****, including Mexicans.
