Bad Bad news!

I'm surer some have noticed i haven't been on very much the past week or so well here is what has happened. My computer started acting really funny and then it crashed. I then couldn't get windows to work. I spent 3 nights trying to get around it. I tried everything i know and even had a buddy come over who is a PC tech and owns his own computer repair center.. But there was nothing i could do. The Hard drive had to be wiped clean. All i was trying to do was get in so i could make a quick backup of the game files, but i wasn't able to.

I wasn't overly concerned cause i had just finished the new scores system and all the recent scores were on the db.. But i was still mad cause i had many new files for the next version of the game saved.. So that means i have to completely start over with them.

And now for the part that really pisses me off.. I log on the server to once again make copies of the backup scores on there and for some reason the server has purged them. This has happened many times in the past but i just go back and reload the files i normally have and then we are all set. But now i no longer have these files... So needless to say we are screwed out of a years worth of stats..

On my external hard drive i do have around the first 4 sets backed up on that, but that is all.. One would think that i would have made all backups on the external as well.. But i didn't..

I really don't know what to say about all this. This really bothers me a lot. I am so sorry for what has happened. I should have made backups to my ext hard drive knowing that something could easily happen to my pc..

I have sent a support ticket into the server company asking 2 things.. First, why the hell my stats purged and second, if they happen to have backups that they can place on my root.. if they do, then we will be back in business, but i really doubt they have them.

So chances are good we will be starting fresh this year.

I have since got my PC back up and running with a clean install and each night my pc backups to my external HD.

I have Jan 09 sets files, so we won't miss anything for this year. And i am also making it so the stats backup to another backup server as well.. I'm closing all the bad holes that nobody ever thinks they will fall in, but sadly i did..

Again i'm sooooo sorry about all of this.. Our only prayer is that the server co has these backups i need.. But like i said, we are best to not count on it happening.. But i'm still VERY pissed that these files even purged.. I don't know why this happens on the server when it shouldn't!!!!

also i know some issues are happening with the Prep war stuff.. I just haven't been able to look into it yet.. I will look into this as soon as i can.

From what i understand, the issue is mainly when you try to drop them. Seems like you have to wait 24hrs instead of the 3 i have it set up for. I'll let you know as soon as i have it fixed. But until then, plz don't declare them to just test it out.. Only declare them if you actually plan to war.
