Thread: Economy Reset

    Default Economy Reset

Seeing we had a nice trial run of the credit system in which went way out of control for many reasons, we have reset the entire Nation-Wars economy.

There has been some changes that have been added into different features that use the credit system.

Paycheck- Every member will still receive a paycheck each day for simply being a member. Below are the salaries for each usergroup:

    Admins - 50.00 per day
Staff members - 25.00 per day
Prem Acct members - 25.00 per day
Reg Members - 10.00 per day

Vbookie- There has now been a max bet limit of 10,000 per bet. Members will no longer be able to make billions off of Vbookie. As much fun as vbookie is, it also was the number 1 contributing factor in why our economy went so out of control.

Threads / Posts / Polls - You still get credits for making a thread, replying in a thread and creating or voting in polls. You receive 5 credits for any of these.

Interest Rates - All of these have dropped to 0.002 for every user.

Loans- users can now only take 2 loans at 100,000 each. That is a max of 200,000 in loans. If you take more then you can pay back, then you will be placed in bankruptcy and that's where you'll sit for 15 days. Repeat offenders will not be able to use the credit system.

CTF Passes- Capture the Flag passes are now 100 each. Low enough for any member to easily play, but yet another purpose for our credits to be used.

Casino- All casino chips have been reduced to lower denominations and max betting has also been lowered.

Taxes- Twice a year each user will be assessed taxes on the money you have. You will be taxed 10% each time. We will tax savings and checking accounts. (5% each) If you only use savings then you'll be taxed the full 10% on that. Same goes for checking. If you have it split, then you'll be taxed 5% on both.

Credit Purchases- This has been closed for the time being. Will reopen in the near future. * Some of you have purchased credits in the past using real money. If you have please send me a PM and i'll look through the logs and award a premium account to those who purchased with real money. Depending on the amount you have purchased compared to the amount of credits you had prior to the reset will determine how long your premium is good for.*

Arcade Prices- These will be adjusted over time. There are a lot of them so please give me some time to work through them. Right now most are around 250 credits per play, and these will drop to around 25 per play.

Inactive Accounts- In order to keep things running smoothly, accounts that have only been logged into once or twice during the year will have all their credits removed. No sense in having credits build up on accounts that will never use them.

Withdraw and Deposit fee- 1% is taken for depositing or withdrawing from the bank

I never plan to reset the economy again. With the current settings it will take a long long long time before we get back to what we were just at. I do however plan on creating a few more things that would include the credits. This way we would have more use for them and make them more valuable again.

Most of you agreed with me that this needed to happen. It was so far out of control there was nothing else to do. I'm sorry this had to happen as I know many of you worked hard posting and earning them, to those of you like this I am truly sorry.

    Thank You!

Thanks for the reset!! I think this will make the credit feature far more enjoyable for most of us here!

I'm not sure, I just saw that there was a 1% fee, never tried withdrawing.

Sorry I forgot to add that in. I edited my original post to reflect the change. Yes there is now a 1% fee for any deposit or withdraw from the bank.

As we grow things will need to change some to reflect the times. This is just the starting point.

Not to spoil the fun, but I am getting 10 creds for every reply I post.

hmmm it's showing to just pay 5.. Did you create a thread? cause that would give you 10

also if your posting in a thread you created that gives and extra 5 as well.
