Is the skill level that low?

Just looking around the game and I don't understand how anyone is under 10k acres if they have played at least half the set. I know it isn't that hard to gain land and there is no reason for anyone to be sitting at 9k land or less unless they have played about a week.

Why do people have a problem getting land? Is there something I am missing?

exactly max if you can stay at 17k why isn't everyone much higher?

Vinnie always noticed I never have much land.
I think the reason is because I'm thinking if I have more land it just means i have more grass to cut

Okay, I actually decided to take a look.

In the top 50, there are 3 states with less than 10k land (Max doesn't count).
Ranks 59-79 are under 1m networth and are most likely inactive. 8 of these have N's beside their name.
Rank 65 has more than 10k land. I also see Toystory Andy with 9k land, but hes a noob so we'll ignore him for now (on a related note, I watched Toy Story on the weekend, it was a blast).

So basically:

Only 3 states in the top 50 with less than 10k land have a 'low skill level'.
Everyone else is either inactive or new.

So the best solution is for Calvin to train those 3 top 50 guys on how to increase their skill level and we'll be fine.
